Turn your Thanksgiving feast into a meal that’s perfect for everyone.  Pasta dishes are nothing new when it comes to Thanksgiving menus.  In fact, hot pasta dishes like Beefy Red Pepper Baked Ziti are great as a side dish along with turkey or serve it as the main star this holiday season.  Bake a simple pasta dish that everyone will love.  Comfort your family with a piping hot baked pasta dish that will warm the soul.

Thanksgiving is all about tradition.  Getting together with family for a big feast is something we all look forward to in November.  I cannot think of anything else I’d rather be doing than sharing a hot meal with loved ones .  There is something special about the holidays.  I remember when I was young helping mom in the kitchen prepping for holiday meals.  Sometimes, baking would start the night before and mom always included me in the fun.  I’d grown to watch her use my grandmas recipes and now I’m using them.  For years, I had been a vegetarian and on Thanksgiving my mom always make something special for me, although everyone else seemed to eat is as well!  Comforting pasta dishes with plenty of delicious flavors are part of our tradition and I can’t think of a better time to share it.  This massive dish of baked pasta can be served along with the turkey and all Thanksgiving side dishes.

Our favorite recipes have become traditions over the years.  Recipes that we make over and over again for our family because they love them. They are the first recipes that we use each time the holidays come around.  They are the recipes we bake for our family frequently.  They are tried and true recipes that our family wants more of.  Over time, we adapt recipes and those dishes become a New Tra-Dish.

Pasta is a timeless classic that everyone loves.  This year I wanted to add some extra flavor to the traditional Beefy Baked Ziti recipe from Ragú®.  For this recipe, I adapted the No Boiling Beefy Baked Ziti recipe by adding additional flavor with roasted red peppers  and created one delicious Ragú® New Tra-Dish!  Now, this dish will be a timeless classic at our holiday feasts.

To get started, simply start by browning the ground beef over the stove top.  Meanwhile, on a cutting board, dice the red peppers and set aside.

Combine the Sauteed Onion & Beef Ragú® Sauce with water in a large bowl and give it a good stir.  Next, add the ground beef, red peppers, ricotta cheese and Parmesan cheese. Mix it all together and then add the uncooked ziti pasta to the bowl.  Now, mix it all together again and pour it into a 9 x 13 baking dish.  Place the dish in the oven to bake.  The aroma from the dish baking smells fantastic!  This dish will come out looking and smelling delicious with the noodles fully cooked.
