Most days I’m in the kitchen cooking. I make almost everything homemade and take a lot of pride in what I do. Not everything I make is easy to whip up and therefore, I like to use good performing kitchen appliances to help me in the kitchen.
I’ve been using blenders most of my life and always have the same problem. When I make smoothies, there are ice chunks left behind. When I puree lentil soup, it’s chunky and not smooth. It comes down to one thing, the better the blender, the less work you have to do. It’s that simple. Blendtec® has a powerful motor that can accomplish just about any task you throw at it without wearing down. Blendtec’s expert engineering team invented a revolutionary new air-flow design that keeps the blender cooler. A cooler motor means longer life and that’s something we love.
Blendtec® has pre-programmed cycles, perfect for the multi-tasker. It has a powerful motor and uses one touch buttons. The 2 prong blade is powerful enough to puree and mix smoothies, cake batter, whip frosting, make ice cream, puree soups, mix meat blends like meatloaf and veggie burgers, homemade tomato sauce, nut butters, almond milk, coconut butter, hummus, dips, fluffy eggs and the list goes on.
The blender includes touch interface, 4 pre-programmed cycles (smoothie, ice cream, whole juice, hot soup), 6-speed touchscreen slider, pulse button, one touch buttons, BPA-Free Jar and a 2 prong blade. The blade is dull and not sharp like others which means less accidental cuts while cleaning. Instead of relying on the sharpness of the blades to chop food up, Blendtec® relies on the speed at which the blades spins instead — the blades spin at up to 300 miles per hour! Now, that is one powerful machine. I put the blender to the test and tested it based on texture and time.
I set out to test the most basic thing a blender should do. I decided to make my morning smoothie which consists of frozen berries, a banana, milk and ice cubes. There is an option on the machine to make smoothies and so I first tested that.
I had my doubts that maybe pesky ice chunks would be left but it was the complete opposite. In fact, my smoothie was frothy, airy and smooth and made in about 10 seconds. Talk about a machine that really works!
For my second test, I used the Blendtec® Twister Jar to make a silky smooth pesto for pasta later that night. This jar is the perfect size for smaller batches of ingredients and not only chopped up over 2 cups of basil with olive oil but made it into a nice smooth paste like I programmed it to.
What I love about this machine is being able to program it to the setting desired. This way, I can continue to work in the kitchen and get dinner ready. I did need to add a little extra olive oil and was able to add it through the top without ever having to turn the machine off.
The motor is powerful and is able to blend everything in a matter of seconds while chopping up those pesky chunks. What would normally take 5 to 10 minutes is accomplished in a matter of seconds. This blender has the capability to puree these greens but I stopped just short of that while making this pesto.
There are a lot of uses for a good blender. Specifically, I’ve heard that the Blendtec® Designer 625 could mix cake batter and make perfect whipped cream and frosting. Since it is the holiday season, I put it to the test to see if it could tackle mixing batter and icing. In a matter of seconds, I had the perfect brown sugar maple icing to top on cookies. I may of even used a little of this with the pancake batter I whipped up next.
Blendtec® Blenders are great choice for the everyday kitchen user and professionals. The appliance is user friendly, powerful and gets the job done in half the time. The blender stands shorter than other blenders and fits comfortably on any counter top with extra room. It’s a great kitchen appliance to use daily and is something I’ve started to use more than my stand mixer. It comes with an 8 year warranty and is produced in the US.
Bottom line, this blender works and will become one of the most used and loved kitchen appliances in the kitchen. I’m giving away a Blendtec Designer 625 with a Wildside+ Jar + a Twister Jar to one lucky winner!
