Fall is right around the corner here in Wisconsin. That means two of my favorite things will become staples in my home — fresh apple cider (found at local orchard farms), cinnamon dolce syrup and my Aaron Rogers Packers jersey — okay, maybe three … but seriously, football season is here and us Green Bay Packer fans take football seriously. This is an awesome Starbucks recipe to enjoy!
When I was a full time college student and working 35 hours a week I needed a pick-me-up in between classes, studying and working. I am not a b i g plain coffee drinker but I do like the occasional espresso shots and lattes. Beyond that I love green tea, iced tea, iced coffee and apple drinks. I mean what college student doesn’t need caffeine when you only have a few hours to sleep each day? A short drive away from campus there was a Starbucks—YES! In between classes my friends and I would do a Starbucks run. This typically meant bringing back drinks for the rest of our friends who were about to get out of class. We did this a few times a week or at night while we were cramming for exams. Well, a few years ago my barista friend came over and showed me how to make it–the caramel apple spice!!! This meant I no longer had to order my favorite drink during open hours! And yes, I learned how to make other Starbucks favorites – I will post an updated link soon.

Ingredients
Apple Juice (I prefer Treetop)
Starbucks® Cinnamon Dolce Syrup (from Starbucks!) For low-cal you can use Sugar Free Syrup
kind
Starbucks Caramel Syrup (1-L.)
– you can pick this up at Starbucks as well, however, you can use a store bought caramel sauce
to save a little cash!
Optional- whipped cream
*also, when you buy your cinnamon dolce syrup, ask if they have any extra pump. It depends on how nice they are, but a lot of times they will give one to you if they have extra!*
Directions for a Single Serving
For a single cup (12 oz) add apple juice (12oz or so) add 3 pumps of Cinnamon Dolce (about 2 Tbs) you can always add more if you’d like! Then go ahead and heat it up in the microwave like you would any other hot beverage (if you are doing this for a party, just put it over the stove)
If you are a whipped cream person this is where you put the whipped cream on the top! Then top it off with caramel sauce!
And there you have you’re Caramel Apple Spice!
Par-tay!
If you are making it in bulk, go ahead and melt 2 teaspoons of caramel sauce per every cup of apple juice. If you are measuring by the cup, you may want to go ahead and only use 1-2 pumps of C.D per cup. If you don’t have a pump counting to 1-2 seconds and pouring is about the same. That way it is all ready to go and people can add whip cream on if they’d like!
