 We have all been there.  Our favorite recipes in equivalents that need to be converted.  Now I want you to enjoy your favorite recipes using these baking equivalents.  From metric to US equivalents such as weight and volume.  Also a chart on temperature conversions with handy formulas.  Check out the links below for more on equivalents and conversions.

Doubling a recipe

Use these measuring equivalents if you halve or double a recipe:
3 teaspoons = 1 tablespoon
4 tablespoons = 1/4 cup
5 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon = 1/3 cup
8 tablespoons = 1/2 cup
16 tablespoons = 1 cup
2 cups = 1 pint
2 pints = 1 quart

Yeasts:

Instant yeast = (X grams of fresh yeast) / 3

Active dry yeast = (X grams of fresh yeast) / 2.5

instant yeast = (X grams of dry yeast) / 1.25
