Currently, I’m crushing on all the “skinny” or low-fat, lighter desserts that I keep seeing popping up. It’s a trendy dessert topic year-round and even more so when it starts to get pretty hot in summer. Dessert should be simple, light and never complicated during those hot months. We have the perfect recipe that is both light and satisfying.
This low-fat lemon mousse is a thing of dream!! The bars start with a graham cracker crust. Lemon zest is folded into a cream and sweetened milk silky mixture. Cool down this summer with this skinny dessert. Skip the oven and make this no-bake dessert to enjoy!
One of my favorite things to making a skinny recipe is to start by replacing whole fat dairy and other food with a reduced fat version. In addition, I’ll replace eggs and oil with other low fat dairy products such as Greek yogurt, sour cream or cream cheese.
