Peppermint Eggnog Milkshake

Christmas is less than a month away and if your family is anything like mine, planning ahead for the holiday parties is just starting. I cannot deny my love affair for peppermint flavored treats. Although December is a pretty cold month in general, milkshakes are a great additional for anyone who hibernates inside during these months. Having a fireplace in use everyday as well as heat in a house makes me crave cold treats too. Peppermint Eggnog milkshakes are a fun and creative treat for the kids as well as adults. To make this an adult beverage, simply add peppermint flavored liquor to the milkshake.
Prep Time 10 minutes

  • 2 parts - Peppermint ice cream
  • 1 part Eggnog
  • Peppermint white chocolate bark
  • Peppermint candy , crushed
  • Sugar water
  • 1 ounce peppermint flavored liquor - optional

  • In a small saucepan, mix together water and a little sugar. Heat on stove top for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently. Meanwhile, crush peppermint candy until finely crushed. Combine together 1 part eggnog and two parts peppermint ice cream and blend. Using rimmed glasses, dip the tips in the sugar water mix and dip them in the crushed peppermint. Carefully pour milkshake contents in glasses and place them in the freezer until ready to serve. To garnish, break peppermint bark into halves and place them on top just before serving along with some crushed peppermint candy. Milkshake contents may turn pink.

Holiday Tip - To make this an adult beverage for the holidays, simply add a 1 ounce shot of peppermint flavored liquor.
