Sinfully rich and creamy hot chocolate made with GODIVA milk chocolate, half & half, cocoa powder and a pinch of cinnamon. Top with mini marshmallows and whipped cream for the ultimate treat. We’ve paired this recipe with the ultimate gift giving guide.
The holidays will be here soon and if you’re looking for gift ideas, we’ve got a simple yet delicious basket of food gifts that everyone will love. Over the past few years, I’ve been giving food baskets to friends and they absolutely love them. They are simple enough to put together and they don’t cost a fortune to make.
Currently, my favorite ideas are specialty cheeses, GODIVA chocolate, sparkling juice and roasted nuts, like pistachios. This basket is really great for adults. I can’t tell you how many times my girlfriends and I get together for cheese and chocolate. It almost seems like a weekly tradition in winter and we have no plans on changing it anytime soon!
For this indulgent gift basket, I’ve included cheeses like Gouda, Asiago, Vermont and a Tomato Basil cheese. A few other favorites include White Cheddar, Gruyere and Munster cheese which might be more common and easier to shop for. Be sure to include a cracker or crostino with the gift.
Other must haves for the basket include GODIVA Chocolate Gift Boxes (I got mine from Walmart®), sparkling juice, roasted pistachios and a few of my favorite cookies. Instead of gifting a basket, I’ve including a serving bowl that doubles up as a gift as well.
Visit Walmart® this holiday season for GODIVA Chocolate Gift Boxes. Available in three 9PC varieties and also a 15PC Dark All-of-a-Kind. (while supplies last)
Chocolate is always a huge hit for the holidays. In fact, some of the best gifts include some sort of chocolate. I highly recommend GODIVA Chocolate Gift Boxes from Walmart® this holiday season!
For the ultimate gift giving guide, other great gift ideas include beauty products like artisan soap, homemade candles, beverage glasses, hot chocolate mixes, DVD collections, gift cards, fuzzy blankets, beauty salon/message gift cards, special cookies, kitchen utensils and snacks make for simple gifts that don’t break the bank. I also love gifting cooking classes or art classes with special friends and family.
For a foodie, I’ll include gifts such as cheese, chocolate, snacks and baking/kitchen supplies like spatulas, baking sheets, serving bowls, mixing bowls, cake mixes and kitchen gadgets to make life easier.
For an entertainment lover, I’ll include movie passes, restaurant gift cards, a subscription to magazines or movie channels, DVDS, headphones or video games.
For a teen, I’ll include nail polish, salon gift cards, movie passes, fleece blankets, shoes, homemade treats, chocolate, candles and gas money if they are old enough to drive.
For a teacher, I’ll include simple gifts such as chocolate, gift cards, calendars, highlighters, cookie mixes and homemade treats.
There are a lot of holiday deals this time of year that are discounted and make for a thoughtful gift for that special someone. Whether it’s shopping for someone near and dear or teacher, think of personalized gifts that they’d love.
