Easy puff pastry sheets filled with sliced beef and cheese. Your choice beef and cheese wrapped into a puff pastry sheet and baked until golden brown. I’m always looking for a quick meal to make during the weekdays, and it doesn’t get any easier than this! Puff pastry sheets are a lot of fun to work with.
I first learned about it in Turkey. They are very popular in Istanbul where they are called Paçanga Böreği. The pastry sheets can be found at the markets. All that is left to do is prepare the filling, seal them and bake them until they are golden brown in color. I find this pretty common in Turkish cuisine. The puff pastries are versatile and you can put any filling you want in them. When I’m looking for a 5 minute hands on prep time, these are my go to meal. They are also great for dessert. I like to fill them up with chocolate and sliced berries. Try this recipe and make your own simple dish. It’s sure to be a crowd pleaser.
