The tea sandwiches are vegetarian and can be made vegan with vegan cream cheese and a few diced raw vegetables.  If you’re looking for more of crunch, add some crumbly cooked bacon to the top.

How to Make the Perfect Cucumber Tea Sandwiches

To make this recipe, you’ll need cocktail bread. I was able to find some at a local grocery store in the bread aisle, near the pita bread. However, they may also be near the grocery store deli, next to all the store made pasta, cheeses and sliced meat. Target does sell cocktail bread, too as well as it can be found online.

Spread the cream cheese on each slice of bread. Slice the cucumbers rather thin. Sprinkle dill over the cream cheese and top with a cucumber slice.

I made tea sandwiches on Valentine’s Day! I even cut them into hearts. I also used cream cheese, instead of butter which some say it more traditional. They were great!
