Cucumber Tea Sandwiches
Light and refreshing Garden Style cream cheese spread on pumpernickel and rye cocktail sandwiches with dill and a cucumber sandwich. Serve as an appetizer, snack or lunch.
Cucumber Tea Sandwiches are such a fun snack to serve. I’m always looking for new appetizers to make and this is always a big hit. Not only are the tea sandwiches delicious but they smell pretty amazing, too! It’s an easy dish just about anyone can make at home. It’s a fun combination of earthy bread with flavorful cream cheese spread. My sister was actually the one that made these for me first. I loved them so much, I just had to share.
The tea sandwiches are vegetarian and can be made vegan with vegan cream cheese and a few diced raw vegetables. If you’re looking for more of crunch, add some crumbly cooked bacon to the top.
To make this recipe, you’ll need cocktail bread. I was able to find some at a local grocery store in the bread aisle, near the pita bread. However, they may also be near the grocery store deli, next to all the store made pasta, cheeses and sliced meat. Target does sell cocktail bread, too as well as it can be found online.
Spread the cream cheese on each slice of bread. Slice the cucumbers rather thin. Sprinkle dill over the cream cheese and top with a cucumber slice.
Change up the traditional appetizers for something swoon worthy. These bite sized tea sandwiches are perfect for any occasion.

02/17/2016 at 12:21 amI made tea sandwiches on Valentine’s Day! I even cut them into hearts. I also used cream cheese, instead of butter which some say it more traditional. They were great!
